After a week of listening only to me on this blog, you’ve earned a break (can I get an amen!). So here’s a chance to read someone else’s perspective out in cyberspace that I’ve found insightful and discussion-worthy. Any sites I direct you toward aren’t necessarily ones I’d recommend without reservation, but this post I found very intriguing by Donald Miller at storylineblog.com.

Its value for me lies chiefly in its encouragement to recognize that there is always more to learn and always more to benefit from open-mindedly continuing to seek truth. This applies to the people who have never seriously questioned the belief system they have always assumed or been raised with just as much as it applies to the folks who refuse to entertain entire worldviews because of a few negative experiences or threatened feelings associated with those perspectives. By too quickly assuming that a faith like Christianity is or isn’t most likely to be true, both parties keep themselves from exploring it enough to fully appreciate the richness and rationality of what God is offering. This exploration is the primary goal of Healing Hereafter if you’d like to dig deeper.

I am interested to hear your thoughts on Donald’s post and on how one should go about continuing to seek truth. Have a happy healing weekend!
