The whole point of the book series Healing Hereafter is not only to heal people’s understanding of the biblical hereafter but also to help heal the more immediate hereafters of the world’s poorest. Although you can instantly download all or any part of the series that interests you for free, you can also help those most in need receive a free benefit too (Click to tweet)! Did you know that all proceeds I receive from Healing Hereafter have been and will be donated to the organizations below? Even better, these were specifically selected for their representation of a diverse variety of causes everyone can get behind and for their well-recognized responsible and efficient use of funds. I want you to know your dollars will be as healing as they can to aid the people groups you most care about! Here’s more about why I love these organizations so much…
Compassion International exists as a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from economic, social, and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled adults.
I chose Compassion because of its sustainable focus on supporting individuals from early childhood into productive adulthood, because it maintains an “A” grade for effectiveness and responsibility from Charity Watch, and because of our own enjoyable child sponsorship experience with them.
Bethany Christian Services is a global social services organization focused on family support and preservation, adoption, foster care, pregnancy counseling, training, refugee services, sponsorship, and infertility ministry.
I chose Bethany because it independently and collaboratively recognizes and provides for the needs of mothers and their children, because it received a grade “A” rating for effectiveness and responsibility from the American Institute of Philanthropy, and because of our own positive adoption journeys with them.
International Justice Mission is a human rights agency that aids victims of slavery, sexual exploitation, and other forms of violent oppression by working with local officials to secure immediate victim rescue and aftercare, to prosecute perpetrators, and to ensure that public justice systems effectively protect the poor.
I chose IJM because of its relatively unique specialization in legal advocacy for those who would otherwise be poorly represented, because it fights for women and children around the globe who are trafficked and abused, and because it maintains excellent ratings for effectiveness and transparency from Charity Navigator.
Bread for the World is a collective Christian voice urging our nation’s decision makers to end hunger at home and abroad. By changing policies, programs, and conditions that allow hunger and poverty to persist, they provide help and opportunity far beyond the communities where they live.
I chose Bread for the World because unaddressed hunger and malnutrition decrease the efficacy of many other admirable forms of medical and social aid, because it embraces more comprehensive and long-term relief by influencing governmental policy, and because it also maintains excellent ratings for effectiveness and responsibility from Charity Navigator.
