Tabloid Time is my way of taking the many media voices we hear that aren’t so helpful and transforming them into something healing, starting with this bit of juicy celebrity gossip!  Go ahead, take a look.

Oh my, Brad Pitt might possibly be getting fatter. Another celebrity is being dissected and degraded. Sure, the egos, antics, and flamboyance of many rich and famous folks make it awfully easy, and I find myself primed and ready to jump on the negativity train too. But let’s turn the tables on the tabloids. Let’s take the “news” that we can never seem to or even want to get away from and create some healing from the harm. Is there an insight, lesson, or action this article could inspire in you to transform Pitt’s potential paunch into practical, personal progress?

For me, Brad’s growing girth amidst his more worthy endeavors serves as a reminder that I don’t have to be perfect to bear fruit in what I have been given gifts and passions to do. Although Brad might not think of it this way, just as giving up his chiseled abs provides more room to grow in his roles of husband, advocate, and actor, giving up the self-pursuit of perfection allows room for God’s grace to grow the gifts, abilities, and fruit he desires for me.

I’d love to hear how this article progresses from hunk to chunk to something healing in your life! And as always, in a few days I’ll be advertising a blog, website, cause, or quote of whoever submits the most humorous or creative comment, so leave a way for me to contact you if necessary!
